Indianapolis is known as the Amateur Sports Capital of the World. Since 1979, Indiana Sports Corp and the city of Indianapolis have hosted more than 500 world-class sporting events. Indy is continuing to grow and receive national recognition with the city having its strongest tourism year in 2024.

Indiana Sports Corp
The mission of Indiana Sports Corp is to create positive impact by hosting world-class sporting events which drive economic vitality, facilitate a vibrant community with civic pride, garner national and international media attention, and create opportunities for our youth.

Horizon League
The Horizon League features 11 Division 1 public and private institutions. The League includes almost 200,000 undergraduates competing in 19 sports. The Horizon League is a co-host for the 2026 Men’s Final Four.

IU Indianapolis
IU Indianapolis is located Downtown and was established as an independent campus in July 2024 after a decades-long partnership with Purdue University. The Horizon League school is a co-host for the 2026 Men’s Final Four.
